Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Locale molto ampio, dotato di un grande parcheggio interno. Il personale è cordiale e sempre disponibile. Gli antipasti di fritti sono davvero buoni, con i classici fritti napoletani preparati alla perfezione. La pizza napoletana è eccellente: leggera, digeribile e ben condita. Tra i dolci della tradizione, spiccano il babà e i fiocchi di neve, entrambi strepitosi. Il menù propone anche piatti di carne, che non ho ancora avuto modo di provare. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ci tornerò sicuramente!"
"Forget the "Top 50" lists. If you want to feel the gravitational pull of real Neapolitan food culture, you drive sometimes from Lazio, sometimes from Umbria, and you park in Zio Tobia’s massive lot. This place seats over a hundred, and within an hour of opening, it’s a roaring, beautiful chaos. No Instagram line. Just people who know. I started at the friggitoria: a Montanara. A fried doughnut, really, topped with braised beef so tender it barely holds its shape. Crispy, airy, savory as hell. Then the main event from the pizzeria: a Ruota di Carro, the cartwheel. This is Naples’ historic soul, stretched paper-thin at the center, wide as a wagon wheel, baked without scorch or sogginess. While half the world chokes on burnt canotto crusts and raw middles, Zio Tobia delivers flawless dough and perfectly spiced salami. I didn’t even reach for the chili oil. The walls say the rest: Eduardo, Totò, Troisi. Maradona. The third Scudetto. Zio Tobia is loud, chaotic, and utterly alive. No shenanigans. Just legendary dough and pure Neapolitan soul. Pino Daniele would have loved the noise, parked in the back, and ordered two of everything. So do I."
"We went to Zio Tibia thanks to a local recommendation. She asked if we liked Pizzas? I have not meet anyone yet who does not. Zio Tobia opened at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Judging by the car park that was filling quickly we could see this place was a favourite. There are two parts to the restaurant with one serving seafood and the other pizzas. We were told that if we wanted a table we needed to be quick. Presumably he had the table booked already. Hungry, we agreed. We offered a flavoursome bottle of Italian Chardonnay. The menu is in Italian but we managed to order three pizzas that were in the “traditizione Napoletana” style. The pizza are very large and more than we could eat. Breakfast solved. The base was perfectly cooked with toppings that were generous but cleverly did not over complicate the flavours of the pizza. We fully recommend the Zio Tobia for an authentic pizza experience."
"We happened upon this place along our drive and thank goodness. We had our two dogs with us as well. Best service we’ve had in Italy in the two months we’ve been here! The food (meatballs and fughi pizza) were absolutely amazing. Great prices. Wine was good. These guys went above and beyond— the macchiato was given back in a photo of my doggy!!!! Super happy leaving and having that experience!"
"Abbiamo mangiato i supplì, le pizze e un dolce. Tutto buonissimo. Il locale è bello e curato nei minimi dettagli. Sembra di essere a "casa" cioè a Napoli."
"This restaurant is amazing ! Lovely people willing to offer the best service and satisfaction from the costumer . And the pizza is delicious !!!"
"Pizza Troisi is one of the best I've ever tried highly recommended"
"Excellent place. We picked it because it was close and good reviews and we're glad we did. Very accommodating and ridiculously good food."
